These boutique oven mitts would brighten any kitchen. Whether your kitchen is in a tiny corner of a walk-up flat, or a thoroughly modern kitchen, this pair of colorful hot pads will make cooking fun.
The high quality 100% cotton fabric is from the What A World line designed by Jill McDonald for P&B Textiles. The whimsical print reminds me of the illustrations in the Richard Scarry story books I read to my kids when they were little…or a stylized and colorful version of the Flatbush neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY, where my daughter now resides. The lining, binding and hanging tab fabric is a small scale black and white polka dot cotton print.
These pot holders are are fully lined – no scratchy seams. They are roomy, measuring approximately 13” x 6” (33 cm x 15.24 cm) long enough to extend well beyond the wrist when reaching WAY back into the oven. Perfect for everyday cooking and baking, or give these as a gift for your favorite foodie -- or as a teacher gift, graduation gift, housewarming gift, kitchen shower gift or hostess gift.
Heat resistant Insul-Bright was used for the batting. Insul-Bright is heat resistant, not heat proof. A layer of needled 100% cotton Warm batting and a layer of preshrunk cotton flannel were added for extra softness. Quilted with straight line machine quilting. Self made binding is machine sewn on front and hand stitched to the matching lining.
Would you prefer only ONE mitt? No problem! Request a custom listing and I would glad to send a single mitt for $16.00 + 3.00 shipping.
